Hi all!
As some of you should hopefully know, my next single, the double A of Neon/Tears In The Rain is available to download from iTunes worldwide tomorrow! Exciting! As well as those two tracks, the bundle comes complete with two very special bonus tracks - Forgive Me which I did with the brilliant Ercola, and No More which was produced by John Myers, the same guy behind Neon.
You can buy the digital EP here, and don’t forget, there is also a limited edition vinyl you can purchase via the guys at All Things Go here.
Finally, if you haven’t seen it, make sure you check out the video for Neon. Directed by acclaimed film makers Between Man & Beast, who have shot for the likes of Italian Vogue, the video was so much fun to film, and I’m thrilled with the result. It’s had 20k views in three days, so it looks like you guys like it too!
There are some live dates coming up, and there’s some big collaborations planned for this summer, so keep your eyes open!

So, my next single release is almost upon us, the double A-side ‘Neon/Tears In The Rain’, will be released mid May. Keep your ears pealed, as it’ll be surfacing VERY soon…’Neon’ had its first radio play last week via BBC Introducing - which was a lovely surpirse! To top that, the very next day, my collaboration with Kissy Sell Out, You’re Not The One, was premiered on Radio One! I hadn’t even heard the finished track prior to it being played, so it was a really exciting moment! As well as the radio stuff, I’ve been doing a handful of different photoshoots and interviews for this campaign, most of which will see the light of day once the campaign starts properly. You may have seen my spread in the awesome fashion magazine XO - Where I managed to nab the front cover, as well as a twelve page spread inside, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, then take a peek…
Thanks all for your patience - I can guarantee it’s gonna be worth it…LoveQueenie

First up, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that came down to support me at This Must Be Pop on Tuesday. I had so much fun, and I hope you guys all enjoyed it.
Secondly, I keep being asked about the forthcoming single, so I thought I’d give you guys a tiny bit of information. The single is now scheduled for the beginning of May - it’s a double A, and there will be a physical release this time around, as well as a digital EP with bonus tracks. We’ve got some amazing remixers on board too, so I’m ridiculously excited. You should start hearing stuff very, very soon!

What a month! Whilst it may seem to some like I’ve been relatively quiet, it’s actually been a hectic month behind the scenes with lots of bits and pieces going on.

First off, I got to headline the Electronic Rumors Album launch party at 93 Feet East, alongside my pals Ronika and Fear of Tigers. It was the perfect gig to start off the year and the crowd were amazing. I performed a handful of new tracks for the first time and was overwhelmed by the reaction I got, so can’t wait for the rest of you to hear them. I also got to wear a stunning Lucy Kenney dress with faux human bone detailing, which was a lot of fun!

I also jetted off to Madrid for a few days earlier this month to perform at the REC festival and, as well as some retail therapy, I managed to sneak in a few interviews and a shoot for a magazine over there. I loved hanging out in little tapas bars and wandering around the vintage stores and cobbled streets, I only wish I could have stayed longer, amazing memories and amazing new friends. <3

Once back in London, I managed to catch a handful of shows at LFW AW 2012. It was my first time at fashion week, and the atmosphere, the people, the clothes were just incredible. I was lucky enough to have front row seats for the Lako Bukia’s show which was breathtaking. I have been a fan of Lako’s collections for a while and wore one of her shirts in my video for Shoot The Bullet but this collection was the best yet and I have my eye on one or two pieces, so I better put her on my Christmas card list ;)

And finally, being the month of valentines, it was only fair to give away a little gift to all of you die hards who have supported me along the way, so I hope you enjoyed the free download of my song “A Moment In Love” .

As well as all that, I’ve been busy prepping the next single - it’s all mixed, mastered and ready to go, the artwork is all done, so keep your eyes peeled, details should start surfacing in the next few weeks. I’ll also be playing a very special show on March 20th to coincide with the release at This Must be Pop Live alongside the amazing A*M*E. It’s going to be my best show so far, so make sure you’ve got it in your diary.

I’m off now to do a shoot and interview for XO Magazine - my first press for this campaign! Excited!

So 2012 has well and truly started with a bang here at QOH HQ.
Firstly, I’ve been in the studio working on a track that will be released in the spring, it’s kind of a tear jerker, which is a bit different for me, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
I also shot the artwork for the single last month on a VERY cold winters day in the middle of the beautiful Chiswick Park. The shots look great, I got to wear some beautiful pieces and glam up with hair and make up, I can’t wait for you to see!
I’ve also been lucky enough to head into the studio with the AMAZING Kissy Sellout to work on a track together, which I’m tres excited about!
But everyone knows that all work and no play makes for a dull Queenie, so I’m managed to gatecrash a party or two to balance the scales. The first being the amazing Police party where team QOH had a lot of fun in the photobooth! I was also asked to perform at the TIGI Bed Head Street Squad launch party, alongside the lovely Sunday girl, which was a lot of fun. So what’s next? Tonight I headline the Electronic Rumors album launch party where I will be playing some brand new material for the first time, I can’t wait to hear what you all think.
Then, I’m jetting off to Madrid for three days to perform a couple of shows, then back to London in time for Fashion week and my performance at Lako Bukia’s show.
2012 really is The year of the Queen, watch this space…. X

‘The Arrival EP’ launch party!

If you’ve been keeping tabs on me on facebook and twitter, you’ll have noticed me drop in a few cheeky mentions of an EP I was putting together.

Well, ‘The Arrival EP’ is almost ready to go (full details to come very soon), and to launch it we’re throwing a little party at The Lexington on the 24th August. There’ll be a PA from yours truly - the first chance to hear a load of brand new material I’ve been working on (including material with some top secret A-List producers) - plus DJ sets from the brilliant Chasing Pluto (who did a brilliant remix of Where Are You Now) and Disposable Thumbs.

The launch party is going to be a private affair, with entry by guest list only. BUT! We’re opening up a limited number of guestlist spaces to fans, so if you’d like to come, send an email to iamthequeenofhearts@gmail.com with your details and we’ll add you to the list.

Hope to see you there!

Today is the day that just keeps on giving! As well as the brand new track, I can also confirm a new live date!
I’ll be doing a PA at the launch of new club night ‘Spill’ at Finsbury Park’s Silver Bullet next Friday. It’s a hot line up, as we’ll also be joined by Polen, Age of Consent, and the amazing DRM RLL PLS djs.
All details here - it’s gonna be a fun one…

—Perfect Mistake DEMO (Produced by Monarchy)

Any of you that have been following me over the last few months will know that I did some work in the studio earlier this summer with the brilliant Monarchy.

I haven’t shared any new music for a while, so thought I’d give you a sneak peek of one of the fruits of our labour - Perfect Mistake. It’s one of my favourite songs that I’ve ever written, and one that I think sits very nicely between the intensity of Freestyle and the wistfulness of Where Are You Now. I hope you enjoy!

I’ve been asked a few times on Facebook and Twitter where I’ve been and what I’m up to. It may seem like I’ve been a bit quiet, but the truth is I’ve never been busier. I’ve been in and out of recording studios for the last month or so working with an array of different people, and gearing up for the release of my very first EP. There’ll be brand new music coming VERY soon, so hold tight…♥

Had an amazing time last weekend at Lovebox Festival in East London’s Victoria Park. As well as watching awesome sets from the likes of Kelis, Scissor Sisters and Robyn (who blew my mind), I also caught up with loads of friends including the Monarchy boys, Raj from EQ and the lovely Fergus (Fear of Tigers Manager) and Rod aka Bright Light Bright Light (pictured). ♥
